Aterio Canada Inc. / Aterio US Inc. ("Aterio," "we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting privacy and handling information responsibly. This Privacy Policy describes how information is handled when you visit Aterio's website, communicate with us, or use our data platform and services.
1. Personal Information
Aterio's platform, datasets, and services are not designed to collect, process, or store personally identifiable information ("PII") about individual users.
We do not collect or store:
- Credit card or payment card information;
- User passwords;
- Sensitive personal information;
- Personal browsing profiles or individual activity histories; or
- Material Non-Public Information ("MNPI").
If you contact Aterio directly, request information, schedule a demonstration, or otherwise communicate with us, we may receive limited business contact information that you voluntarily provide, such as your name, business email address, company, job title. This information is used only to communicate with you, provide requested services, and manage our business relationship.
2. Platform and Technical Metadata
Aterio may collect limited technical and operational metadata necessary to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the performance of its website and platform.
This metadata is used solely for purposes such as:
- Monitoring platform availability and performance;
- Diagnosing technical issues;
- Maintaining security and system reliability;
- Measuring system utilization and capacity; and
- Improving platform functionality and user experience.
Aterio does not use this metadata to create individual user profiles or track individual clicks, browsing behaviour, searches, or activities within the platform.
We do not use platform metadata for behavioural advertising or individual-level surveillance.
3. No Sale or Resale of User Information
Aterio does not sell, rent, license, or resell personal information, platform usage data, or platform metadata to third parties.
Operational metadata collected in connection with the platform is used for the operation, security, performance, and improvement of Aterio's services and is not commercialized as a separate data product.
4. Aterio's Data Products
Aterio provides datasets and research concerning infrastructure developments, including data centers, power infrastructure, industrial developments, and related projects.
Aterio's data products are developed from sources such as publicly available information, government and regulatory records, public company disclosures, licensed imagery, and Aterio's proprietary research and analysis.
Aterio's data products are not intended to contain PII or MNPI. Aterio does not knowingly solicit, collect, or incorporate MNPI into its datasets.
5. Payment Information
Aterio does not collect or store credit card numbers or other payment card credentials.
Where electronic payment processing is required, payment information is handled by the applicable third-party financial institution or payment processor and is subject to that provider's security and privacy practices.
6. How We Use Information
Any limited information received by Aterio is used only for legitimate business and operational purposes, including:
- Providing and supporting Aterio's services;
- Responding to inquiries and customer requests;
- Managing customer and business relationships;
- Operating, securing, and maintaining our website and platform;
- Monitoring and improving platform performance; and
- Meeting legal, contractual, or regulatory obligations.
Aterio does not use information collected through its platform for unrelated advertising, profiling, or data-broker activities.

Aterio does not sell or resell personal information or platform metadata.

Operational platform metadata is retained only as necessary for security, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and system operations.

Where applicable, individuals may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information maintained by Aterio and may exercise any other rights available under applicable privacy laws.
Because Aterio's platform is not designed to collect or maintain PII about users, in many cases Aterio may have little or no personal information associated with an individual beyond business contact information voluntarily provided to us.

Aterio may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes to our services, technology, legal requirements, or business practices.
