- Ford, in partnership with SK On, is investing $11.4 billion to develop BlueOval City in Tennessee and BlueOval SK Battery Park in Kentucky. BlueOval City, spanning 3,600 acres near Memphis, is dedicated to electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing and aims to operate on 100% renewable energy, utilize recycled water, and achieve zero waste-to-landfill. BlueOval SK Battery Park, situated on a 1,500-acre site in central Kentucky, comprises two advanced lithium-ion battery plants designed to power a new lineup of Ford and Lincoln EVs. Combined, these facilities are expected to create nearly 11,000 jobs and play a significant role in transitioning North America to sustainable transportation. Both projects are scheduled to be operational in 2025.
