Highland Materials plans to invest over $1 billion to build a 1.2 million sq ft manufacturing plant for purified silicon and aluminum master alloys in Hawkins County, Tennessee. The facility, part of the Phipps Bend Advanced Manufacturing & Technology Campus, will create 400+ high-paying jobs and leverage legacy power infrastructure from a former TVA nuclear site.
