A Virginia judge has overturned Prince William County’s approval of the 2,100-acre Digital Gateway rezoning, halting one of the largest planned U.S. data center corridors. The project, led by QTS and Compass Datacenters, was slated for up to 30 M sq ft of space and over 3 GW of critical IT capacity. The ruling places the future of all 37 proposed facilities in doubt, disrupting long-term hyperscale expansion plans in Northern Virginia.
