AWS is negotiating a $5 billion data center in Trenton, Butler County, Ohio, consisting of 18 buildings of 220,000 sq ft each on a 601-acre site south of the city (Madison/St. Clair Township). The project is in the annexation phase: Trenton consented to the annexation on Aug. 6, 2026. Power would be served by Duke Energy (PJM grid), with AWS funding the electric infrastructure.
